  • Shane Morrison

    Shane Morrison

    BVSc CertSAS MRCVS, RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery - Principal Vet - Shane graduated from the University of Melbourne with first class honours in 1991. Shane obtained the CertSAS in 1997, a postgraduate qualification in small animal surgery, awarded to fewer than 15 vets in Britain each year. This allows him to undertake more involved procedures including Canine Total Hip Replacements, spinal surgery, complicated orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery. Shane has been living and working as a vet in East Anglia for the past twenty three years. Shane and Charlotte have two sons and a daughter, Cameron, Finlay & Alice. They also have a Border Terrier Yarra" and a Siamese "Bindi".
  • Stefano Genoni

    Stefano Genoni

    DVM(Hons) PgC(SAS) MRCVS Stefano graduated from the University of Milan (Italy) in 2009 with first class honours. In the same year he moved to the UK as the winner of a European Scholarship in Small Animal Surgery that allowed him to spend a few months in a large referral practice in East Anglia training in orthopedic and soft tissue surgery. In 2010 he pursued a one year rotating internship, during which he spent a few weeks in Canada training in surgical oncology. He then started studying towards his ESVPS Certificate in Small Animal Surgery, which he achieved in 2013. Stefano joined Christchurch Veterinary Referrals in 2015 and achieved a University Postgraduate Certificate in Small Animal Surgery in 2016. Stefano joined us in January 2015

    Adrian Dumitru

    Veterinary Surgeon - Adrian graduated from the University of Veterinary Medicine in Bucharest in 2006. Following this Adrian worked for several years in Veterinary Practices in Romania. In 2011 Adrian moved to the UK to complete Orthopeadic internships around the UK. Adrian joined Christchurch Referrals in 2016 as his passion lies with orthopaedic surgery which we have plenty of! In his spare time Adrian likes to travel with his family and enjoys hiking.

    John Prior (Recently retired)

    MA VetMB Cert SAO MRCVS, RCVS Advanced Practioner in Small Animal Orthopaedics. Veterinary Surgeon - John joined us during 2006. John ran his own Surgical Referral Practice in Northampton for 20 years. He originally came from the Ipswich area and has now decided to return. John has huge experience in the area of Orthopaedics, he has undertaken many complicated procedures including Canine Total Hip Replacements on a regular basis for many years. In fact John was amoungst the first Vets to undertake Hip Replacements on dogs in the UK.

    RVN Practice Manager - Charlotte is a qualified Veterinary Nurse with 20 years experience. Charlotte now undertakes the running of the surgery.

    Practice PA - Anaick has been working as the PA of Charlotte Morrison since February 2016. Anaick is French, married and has two daughters. Maddie, her lovely westie has recently joined the family. Anaick particularly enjoys the outdoor and healthy life.

    Reception Manager Rita has now been with us since 2002. Rita mainly deals with our referring vets and referred clients. Rita has gained huge experience over the years and can now give clients a lot of information about procedures before the clients come along and see the surgeons. Rita has 5 chihuahuas!

    Clare Leech

    RVN Head Nurse - Clare qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2008 and has been working at Christchurch since November 2009. She has a keen interest in physiotherapy and hydrotherapy and the rehabilitation of our patients. She has completed the BSAVA Merit Award in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation and various hydrotherapy courses. She enjoys spending time with her son and husband. She owns two miniature dachshunds and two horses who she competes locally with.

    Lindsay Keer

    Lindsay recently joined the team as the Insurance Administrator/Receptionist. She has an interest in American Cars with her husband and they own a Ford Mustang Saleen and Ford 1967 Galaxie. Lindsay is married with one son and a boxer called Shelby.

    RVN - Inpatient Care Manager - Katie joined us in 2013 after completing her Diploma at a local practice. Katie has a very keen interest in both inpatient care and surgical nursing. Katie has 3 ponies: Chip, Angelina and Ernie and a cheeky Chihuahua named Elsa who keeps her very busy when she is not looking after our fury friends here at Christchurch.

    Stacey Toner

    RVN - Diagnostic Imaging Manager & In House Nurse Training Manager - Stacey started as an auxiliary nurse in 2005 then qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2013. She joined Christchurch referrals in September 2013. She has a keen interest in radiography, MRI and arthroscopy. She has a springer spaniel, Jazz. Bagheera, a kitten she hand reared and a horse named Charlie who she competes/shows at local level.

    Kathryn Watt

    RVN - Veterinary Nurse - Kathryn qualified in 2002 and has worked at first opinion practices in Norfolk and Cambridge before starting at Christchurch in 2004, giving her many years of valuable experience in orthopaedic and surgical nursing. She enjoys family life and has a lively cockerpoo named Star.

    RVN - Veterinary Nurse - Alethea graduated in July 2013 after completing the Veterinary Nursing Foundation Degree. She joined us in September 2013 after locuming for a short while. Alethea really enjoys surgical nursing and has gained her BSAVA Vet Nurse Merit Award in Surgical Nursing.

    RVN - Nursing Team Leader (Christchurch) - Emma qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in 2008 whilst working in a small animal practice in Suffolk. She then spent time working in an out of hours emergency clinic until she joined Christchurch vets in June 2011. As one of the first opinion nurses Emmas interest is senior pet care and she is currently organising the running of senior pet clinics. Emma has a gorgeous ginger cat called Bertie.

    RVN - Registered Veterinary Nurse - Registered Veterinary Nurse Dani qualified as a RVN in Spring 2013 before joining Christchurch in January 2015. Dani worked in a busy first opinion practice and did a short period of locuming. Dani particularly enjoys theatre work and anaesthesia and is currently undertaking a nurses certificate in anaesthesia. Dani does not currently have any pets of her own but she would love a little dog!

    RVN - Registered Veterinary Nurse - Ariana qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 2012 with a BSc honours degree in Veterinary Nursing. Since then she has worked in small animal first opinion practice before joining Christchurch Veterinary Referrals in May 2016. Ariana has a variety of animals including two naughty red and white setters!

    Alison Devonshire

    RVN - Veterinary Nurse - I qualified as RVN in 2001 and have 20 years experience in a busy 1st opinion hospital. In 2017 I decided to make the exciting move into referral practice. I am enjoying the opportunity to put to use some of the skills I learnt while studying for the Graduate Diploma in Professional and Clinical Veterinary Nursing at the RVC in 2012. I have a particular interest in anaesthesia, evidence based veterinary medicine and veterinary ethics. I am currently the veterinary nurse member of the Ethical Review Panel at the RCVS. In my spare time I enjoy exploring the countryside with my family and our retired working Springer Spaniel, Wren.

    RVN - Registered Veterinary Nurse - Sophie qualified in July 2015 and finished her BSc degree in Veterinary Nursing from the Royal Veterinary College in July 2016. She locumed for a short while while studying and joined the team in September 2016. She has an interest in inpatient care and surgical nursing. She enjoys keeping active and has run 3 half marathons in her spare time. She has four guinea pigs named Ginger, Nutmeg, Harry and Rolo.

    RVN - Registered Veterinary Nurse - Heidi qualified as a Veterinary Nurse from Middlesex University with a BSc Honours Degree in July 2016. She joined us in November 2016. Heidi main interests are theatre work and anaesthesia, she also has a passion for exotic animals. She has three dogs: a Yorkshire terrier, a Chihuahua and a French bulldog as well as a cat.

    Receptionist Julie joined the team in 2005. Julie has a young mad Labrador who himself has had a total hip replacement with us. Julie also has a naughty Lhasa Apso; they keep her very busy!

    Ive joined the Reception team in April 2016. I have a dog, a cat and just acquired 2 rabbits for the grandchildren. Most of my free time is taken up with the grandchildren but I do enjoy walking and gardening.

    I joined the Reception team in May 2016. I have a 2 year old German shepherd called Millie who we rescued from Southern Wales when she was just 8 weeks old. I enjoy taking her for long walks in our local woods. In my free time I play ten pin bowling for 2 different leagues and participate in the occasional competitions. To relax I love to socialise, my spare time is often spent with my grandchildren, I also enjoy tending to my garden to unwind.

    Ward Assistant - Karen has been with us since July 2013 and is married with 2 teenage children. Karen shares her home with 3 dogs, Georgie the Scottie, Bridgett the miniature Bull Terrier and Chihuahua cross Zuzu, who is a little rescue from Cyprus. karen also has 2 cats and 9 chickens. karen enjoys country walks with the dogs and road trips in the USA.

    Ward Assistant - I volunteered at my local veterinary surgery for a number of years before I joined CVR in December 2016 as a ward assistant. In the future I would like to train to be a Veterinary Nurse. At home I live with 8 dogs, 3 cocker spaniels and 5 dachshunds one of them being my lovely miniature chocolate dapple girl called Pebbles.
